Every picture tells a story, but for Lawal Olumide Ibishomi, better known as Sniip3r, the story often begins before the shutter clicks. Born and raised in Lagos, his journey into photography is one of resilience, creativity, and an unshakable commitment to documenting life’s most electrifying moments.
Sniip3r’s story is not one of overnight success. From losing his father at a young age to growing up surrounded by the strength of his maternal family, he learned early on the value of persistence and self-reliance. That same resilience shaped his creative journey. Initially drawn to sports and even modeling during his time at Lagos State University, his true calling came when he picked up a camera. A single scholarship award gave him the means to buy his first gear, and from then on, he immersed himself in learning — practicing with friends, shadowing professionals, and studying the craft with unwavering determination.
The turning point came when setbacks challenged him to grow. An early shoot gone wrong left him questioning his path, but instead of giving up, he invested six months in mastering his skills through self-study and mentorship. By 2020, his persistence paid off. Working behind the scenes with top directors like WG Films, Sniip3r began building a portfolio that soon put him in the orbit of Nigeria’s biggest music stars.

Today, Sniip3r is recognized as one of the rising creative forces in lifestyle photography. His lens has captured global icons including Wizkid, Davido, Ayra Starr, Asake, Zinoleesky, Central Cee, Nasty C, Olamide, Mohbad, Patoranking, Omah Lay, Fireboy, Ruger, Bnxn and more. From music videos and live performances to behind-the-scenes moments that the world rarely sees, his work embodies the energy of Afrobeats and the spirit of its culture. His collaborations with leading directors and artists have taken him beyond Nigeria, giving his visuals an international presence across the US, UK, and beyond.
But Sniip3r is more than a photographer, he’s a storyteller, a brand architect, and a creative visionary.
